Disneyland Paris was opened on April 12th 1992. despite having many problems and setbacks Disneyland Paris has become one of their greatest successes. Created in the style of The Magic Kingdom they have updated many of there finest attractions, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, It’s a Small World.
Disneyland Paris Tips
If you want a more relaxed holiday try to visit during their slow period.
- Mid-September to early December.
- Mid-January to late March.
- Mid-April to mid-July.
Check whether the date you want to go is on a national French school holiday as you will find you will miss out on many attractions due to the queues.
Buy your tickets at nearby hotels as they are often cheaper than when you get to the park or purchase your tickets through their official site official Disneyland Paris website. If you do buy at the park be prepared on occasions to wait several hours to get served at the ticket booths.
Favorite adrenaline rides
- Space Mountain High adrenaline rating 10 out of 10
Not recommended for children under ten years old. If you are over ten then go for it , it is one of the most exhilarating rides on offer. Make sure you get their early to avoid queuing. Get strapped in and wait for the cannon to fire you into space where you journey to the moon. Floating through space until this super charged roller coaster takes you through incredible twist and turns and overhead loops, through a field of meteorites and into a supernova explosion to conclude your trip through space.
- The Temple du Peril High adrenaline rating 9.5 out of 10.
Not recommended for children under 8 years old. This exhilarating roller coaster ride has many sharp twist and turns and sharp drops going into the mine and around the temple. When you ride this coaster you will feel like Indiana Jones in the temple of doom. If you are feint hearted this ride is not for you. This ride incorporate a 360 degree overhead loop, be warned !!!
